Abstract:
Mathematical proof and hardware validation of sub-100 microsecond worst-case transmission latencies in 4-zone automotive Ethernet rings.
1. Network Calculus and Bounded Latency Using Network Calculus methodologies, arrival curves and service curves were modeled across an 8-switch redundant zonal ring topology.
2. Hardware Verification Automated test benches injected high-priority steer-by-wire commands simultaneously with 8 Gbps of uncompressed camera traffic. The TSN 802.1Qbv time-aware gating guaranteed that critical control frames arrived at the central computer in 64.2 microseconds with zero packet jitter.
